Refund Policy

Group Classes (except UWild & Golf)

  1. All refunds must be processed in-person at the IMA Member Services Desk, on the 2nd floor in the Lobby, prior to the beginning of the second class meeting (unless otherwise noted). A refund will be given, less a 15% service charge. If you paid by credit card or Husky card, you will need to bring your card so that we can credit your account. If you paid by check, we will need to verify your address so a check can be mailed to you within approximately four weeks.
  2. For classes that meet fewer than three times, refunds will be granted if processed before the first class meets, during office hours. Refunds for Special Interest classes must be processed by the registration deadline published.
  3. Any refund request after the refund deadline requires the approval of the staff member in charge of that class. You may request a late refund by email at recreg@uw.edu. The following are viable reasons for permitting refunds: Termination of employment or withdrawal from academic classes, and medical request. Upon approval, a refund will be issued based on the date of the email request and prorated in accordance with the refund schedule, available at the Programs Office.
  4. A full refund will be issued to participants if a class is cancelled. All refunds for cancelled classes must be requested and processed within 30 days of class cancellation, they are not issued automatically.
  5. If you purchased a product with your class, that product purchase is non-refundable.

Mindfulness Pass

  1. Mindfulness Pass refunds require the approval of the Mindfulness Manager. You may request a refund by email at recreg@uw.edu. The following are viable reasons for permitting refunds: Termination of employment or withdrawal from academic classes, and medical request. A refund will be issued and prorated in accordance with the refund schedule, available at the Programs Office.
  2. All refunds must be processed in-person at the IMA Member Services Desk, on the 2nd floor in the Lobby. If you paid by credit card or Husky card, you will need to bring your card so that we can credit your account. If you paid by check, you will need to verify your address so a check can be mailed to you within approximately four weeks.
  3. If you purchased a product with your pass, that product purchase is non-refundable.

Personal Training

  1. All packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  2. Personal Training packages expire 6 months from date of purchase.
  3. CLients will be charged for training sessions if they are more than 15 minutes late.
  4. Clients will be charged for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice.

Intramurals

  1. All refunds must be processed in-person at the IMA Member Services Desk, on the 2nd floor in the Lobby, seven days or more prior to the first contest. A refund will be given, less a 15% service charge,. If you paid by credit card or Husky card, you will need to bring your card so that we can credit your account. If you paid by check, you will need to verify your address so a check can be mailed to you within approximately four weeks.
  2. Refunds will not be granted within six days or less of the first contest.
  3. A full refund will be issued to participants if a sport league or tournament is cancelled. All refunds for cancelled intramurals must be requested and processed within 30 days of cancellation, they are not issued automatically.

Intramural Outdoor Only Membership

  1. Outdoor Only Membership refunds require the approbal of the Intramural Manager. You may request a refund by email at recreg@uw.edu. The following are viable reasons for permitting refunds: Termination of employment or withdrawal from academic classes, change in employment status or class schedule, and medical request. A refund will be issued and prorated in accordance with the refund schedule, available at the Programs Office.
  2. All refunds must be processed in-person at the IMA Member Services Desk, on the 2nd floor in the Lobby. Climbing Membership

  1. Climbing Membership refunds require the approval of the Climbing Manager. You may request a refund by phone at 206.616.1143 or email at recclimb@uw.edu. The following are viable reasons for permitting refunds: Proof of injury.
  2. If you paid by credit card or Husky card, you will need to provide your card so we can credit your account. If you paid by check, we will verify your address so a check can be emailed to you within approximately four weeks.

UWild & Crags Classes

On-Campus Only Activities & Classes:

  1. Drops must be completed at least 48 hours prior to the start time. Failure to do so will result in a 100% loss of the registration fee.
  2. Failure to attend an activity results in a 100% loss of the registration fee.

Off-Campus Activities, Classes, & Trips:

  1. Drops made 8-14 days prior to the activity results in a 50% loss of the registration fee.
  2. Drops made 7 or fewer days prior to the activity results in a 100% loss of the registration fee.
  3. Failure to attend an activity results in a 100% loss of the registration fee.

General Info:

  1. Classes meeting for multiple sessions, no refunds are issued after the first session.
  2. For classes that meet indoors prior to an outing, attendance at all indoor classes is mandatory.
  3. For any course that meets for multiple sessions, attendance to the first class is mandatory.
  4. Partial refunds will be given if the outdoor portion of a class is cancelled due to weather.
  5. Refunds are only processed in-person at the Climbing Center, Waterfront Activities Center, or the IMA Member Services Desk, during open hours. If you paid by credit card or Husky card, you will need to bring your card so that we can credit your account. If you paid by check, we will verify your address so a check can be mailed to you within approximately four weeks.

Golf Classes

  1. All refunds must be processed in-person at the Golf Range, during open hours, 24 hours prior to the class starting (unless otherwise noted). A refund will be given, less a $8 service charge. If you paid by credit card or Husky Card, you will need to bring your card so that we can credit your account. If you paid by check, we will need to verify your address so a check can be mailed to you within approximately four weeks.
  2. Any refund request after the refund deadline requires requires the approval of the staff member in charge of the class. You may request a late refund by email at nappleby@uw.edu. The following are viable reasons for permitting refunds: Termination of employment or withdrawl from academic classes, and medical request.
  3. A full refund will be issued to participants if a class is canceled. All refunds for cancelled classes must be requested and processed within 30 days of class cancellation, they are not issued automatically.

IMA Membership

  1. Refunds require the approval of the Operations Manager. The following are viable reasons for permitting refunds: Termination of employment or withdrawal from academic classes, change in employment status (i.e. shift change, home department, or job duties), cancelled Sports & Fitness class registration, and medical request (i.e. unable to use service, may include family medical leave).
  2. All refunds must be requested and processed in-person at the IMA Member Services Desk. If you paid by credit card or Husky card, you will need to bring your card so we can credit your account. If you paid by check, we will verify your address so a check can be mailed to you within approximately four weeks.
  3. All refunds will be issued and prorated in accordance with the refund schedule, available at the IMA Member Services Desk.
